Teenagers raised $370 to help fund an essential operation for Augusta the cat. Carol Marwick donated the remaining $500 to ensure the operation goes ahead. Carol also donated money to fund volunteer SPCA T-Shirts.

Saddlery Warehouse Donates Goods
SPCA is very grateful for the donation of a hay bale carry bag, a rope halter and lead rope. These will be used by our inspectors.
March 2013 - Picton Lions
The Picton Lions Club recently responded to our call for help to fund the purchase of additional SPCA collection boxes. $100 was donated and five new boxes are on order.
January 2013 - Renwick Lions
The lovely people at Renwick Lions have donated $214 which allows us to purchase two airline approved travel cages. These will be used to ferry animals around New Zealand. Sometimes we will have too many of one kind of critter - then we can 'trade' with other SPCAs - and these cages will make it easy and safe for our pets to travel. We can also use them to send pups and kittens to Animates. Animates are a chain of pet shops and RNZSPCA has a national welfare agreement with them - meaning they help find our little ones good homes through their stores.
November 2012 - Canterbury Community Trust
This wonderful charity recently donated $10,000 towards staff wages. It will make a real difference to our budget and we are delighted. Thanks so much!
December 2012 - Marlborough District Council
Marlborough District Council Supports the New SPCA Op Shop
MDC has given $2,500 towards lease costs on the new SPCA Op Shop corner of Main & Stuart Streets. This grant helps our SPCA raise funds for its own work - with the help of the community of course! Thank you MDC.
November 2012 - Redwood & Kaufman Trusts
Redwood & Kaufman Trusts Transform the Cattery
Redwood Trust recently donated $1,500 to Marlborough SPCA to help concrete the cat enclosures. Kaufman Trust donated $3,000. We needed this concrete to cover the grass and prevent disease spread andalso to keep visitor and volunteer's feet dry in winter! These donations are is very generous and most welcome.
August 2012 - Community Grants Organisation
COGs provided SPCA with a $500 'universal grant' which will be used to cover some of the centre's electricity costs. Thanks COGs!
